NextCity.nl offers consultancy to real estate professionals and portfolio holders on sustaining and increasing the value of their properties by biodiversity management. Consultancy includes biodiversity scans and biodiversity strategy. The methodology is based upon the principles and strategies for increasing biodiversity in the city developed in the NextCity.nl research.

Advice is based upon screening buildings and their context with ‘biodiverse glasses’. The careful observation and opportunity spotting for biodiversity is carried out at typical sections of buildings (horizontal and vertical surfaces such as walls, facades, terraces and roofs) and sections of the immediate environment, including public and semi-public territory (such as streets, boardwalks, gardens and green areas).

Results are strategies, long term visions as well as concrete design proposals on the building, the environment and the urban plan or landscape the building is part of.
