“Universal Human rights will be universal rights of life” [Joost Janmaat in NRC]

Joost Janmaat and Thijs Middeldorp from Partizan Public are the initiative takers of The Parliament of Things, in which animals and oceans also get a voice.

The Parliament of Things is a writing contest that saves the world: a poetic and at the same time rational exercise of the imagination. Are Things and Animals able to speak for themselves? What has the Water got to tell us? What choices does the Iron make? How do the Wood, Plastic or Grain formulate their interests? And what about the needs of the Squirrel and the Coffee bean?
